Kindness Matters
If you liked this post, check out more from Kindness Matters. If you, or anyone you know would be interested in making blankets for children who are sick, then project linus is for you. This is a good place to send fabric, or yarn that you have and never use. Check the website out: www.projectlinus.org. they have patterns and links, to all kinds of blankets to make. If sewing, knitting, and crocheting is not for you, a monetary gift is also accepted, better than that, mention it to all those you know that do that craft.
It is not only up to you to do good, but to spread good ideas to everyone you know. I'm hoping in blogging this, someone will be inspired to send off some blankets to such a good cause.

The Project Linus Mission
Project Linus is comprised of hundreds of local chapters and thousands of volunteers across the United States. Each volunteer and local chapter all work together to help us achieve our mission statement, which states:
First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers."
Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
Together we have distributed over three million blankets to children in need since our inception in 1995.
