Technology is close to taking over parenting.  I try to pay it forward everyday by calling schools and asking them to guest speak about my life as a means to show teens that they are not alone. I hope to help them understand that we are always the middle stack, someone has always had it worse as well as better than you.  This one statement has helped me be humble and made me realize that I will not let my kids fall victim to the pity pot and I can help by getting my story out there to help.
