When we Shine

Dad used to say, polish those shoes until you see your reflection.
Maybe that had something to do with his service in the military
but somehow it has stayed with me all these years. How beautiful the dark sky at night when the stars are so bright.
And we are only human, so we move forward and backwards in
our thinking, in our ways, in our growing and learning. Some days perhaps each of us may lean towards the dark side until
for whatever reason, we see the light. And move towards it.
Forward. Bright. Brilliant.
When we tend to be positive you may notice folks being more
complimentary and even applaud us and yet when our negativity
is present we often separate ourselves from the crowd. We are
alone. Dark. Dismal. Disenchanted.
Learning to live large and have our bright light shine is a huge
task, a lifetime journey. Hills and valleys. Dark and light.
And we move along, hopefully continually working at having
our inner light shine from the very things we do and say and think. Shine inner light. Shine.
Somehow that inner voice tends to help provide us with an
outer brightness, so seek that inner voice. Go the distance
for the brighter bright. And keep your courage and wisdom
alive by helping to create a web of brightness with your
association of friends and family. You will only be bigger and
better and brighter, because of that.
So its up to us. To shine. And to move forward and on those
final days, to go into the light....and become part of it.
