"When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stone cutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before." -Jacob August Riis

Everyday I have to remind myself that Rome wasn't built in a day, and that my results from
working out won't happen overnight.
I admit it...I'm a scale watcher...always have been. It's the first thing
that I do in the morning. Bad habit!!!
Though I've lost 2 more pounds this week, I still find myself wanting the
change to go "faster!"
When I get discouraged, I go back to the quote about the stonecutter.
"Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was
not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before."
It's NOT about the "everyday scale." It's about my health &
consistency! The change will happen...it will. Besides, muscle
weighs more than fat. And, since I am weight training (as well as
cardio), I need to remember that it's about inches more than weight.
Saying all of that...I do have to admit that I am proud of myself for keeping up
with working out & eating well. It's not easy for me, and I know that
God is really helping me through it. And for that, I'm blessed!
Thank you to all of you, as well! The encouragement is beyond wonderful!
My girl Dana sent me a few yummy recipes...Miss Rhonda is helping me with some
work-out tips...my Momma, Terri & Kristin are keeping me going at the gym…and
the e-mails & love that I get from everyone makes me speechless! You
all ROCK!
Thank you, each, for being my rock! I am so grateful for the wonderful
support system that God has provided for me!
