I am so excited that my 2 year old is fascinated with the Winter Olympics! I am having so much fun watching her soak in the amazing talents that our world has to offer.
It made me think...
Between her love for music & sports, and her sheer determination & great personality, I could totally see her as an Olympian when she gets older.
Honestly, it doesn't matter to me what she does...she will always amaze me! She is my princess after-all. And, I don't want to wish her childhood away, or see her grow up too quickly, but picturing her as an adult already makes my heart swell with pride.
She is beautiful, she is funny, and when she smiles, the world shines 10 times brighter!
I want her to know that I will love & support her, whether she is a gold medalist or cashier. She will always be successful because...
"Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful." ~Herman Cain
I just want her to love whatever she does...then, my heart will be happy!
In the meantime, I will just soak in all of her amazing talents & shining moments.
Speaking of shining moments, I had one today! Since it was Valentine's Day, I thought it appropriate to have a dessert after dinner (I've been so good lately, I figured it would be okay to splurge on this one day). But, since I'm trying to eat healthier, I offered to share the dessert with my husband.
He looked at me like I had 10 eyeballs because he KNOWS the one thing I never share is my dessert. But, Valentine's Day is a day of love after all. So, instead of finding a fork in his hand for reaching out towards my chocolate, he got only a smile :o)
Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone! <3
