I watched a movie last night called "Up in the Air". I had heard so many great things about it, but honestly it made me very sad. It was about a man clinging on to his inability to interact with people. In fact, the only interaction he had was when he fired people from their jobs or with another man's cheating, traveling wife. Oh....and there were scenes when he tried to some what build a relationship with his sister.
I wondered why certain people thought it was so great. I hope society has not embraced this type of dysfuntional thinking as appropriate or "good". Because that's what everyone said...it was "GOOD". To those who still have hope of positive family connections, meeting a mate they can connect with.....without fine print and jobs that truly care and foster there employees...please tell someone how you feel. Tell someone that there is hope out there for all of us. Because I believe that there is hope. We control how things are perceived. We can make a difference in other peoples lives. The norm does not have to be disfunctional. It does not be sad!
