Being personable is not an easy task and yet it is just about being yourself, who you really are.  We went to impress but I feel the best way is just be 'you'.  Don't try to bolster or be better than everyone else.  Just as you are is enough.  Radiate that quality of the 'you' and people will recognise who you are without too much comment.  Obviously you need to be confidnet about yourself and only you can build on that.  Do not try to 'win' other people's approval.  Just be you.
