A lot of people say and think you can't find love in high school or they think that those relationships can't and won't last. That's true for some, but for reasons that don't comply with immaturity all the time and little kid things like that. I say they can and believe some will last.

I LOVE YOU!.... I’m in high school and i just said that out loud. Does it matter if I’m in high school or not? Not anywhere, does it state that you have to be a certain age to love. High school relationships are rare to last after graduation. They’re even rare to last in highschool. Ever heard an individual say that? I have. Why do you think that is? Because it’s true. High school students are breaking up all the time. To me high school relationships don’t last because we don’t always have an open mind or even listen. Not every guy has one thing on his mind, and not every girl has drama. Plus we dont have very much patience. High school relationships give you an idea of what you don’t want in a girl/guy and what you do want. That should be a good thing. Love? What’s that? Love is not a feeling, but a showing. Love is like trusting a rusty rock. Meaning making sacrafices with a vessel you dont fully know or quite understand, and never will. Love is fighting through those battles whether they’re full of dirt or not. Love is believing in each other and motivating each other to full fill your dreams. Do I have dreams in high school? Of course. Does being in a relationship stop me from achieving those dreams? Of course NOT. High school relationships are probably the most complicated, frustrating, pull my hair out, kind of relationships I’m experiencing so far. It’s worth it though. I’ve learned a lot about myself, and a lot about the person I’m in love with. Being in a relationship, you notice how many stupid things you say and do, and those stupid things that are said and done, are considered the yummy chunky peanut butter in the relationship to me. I look back on everything that’s happened in the last two years and I’ve got to say that I’m a very lucky girl. I, as a person, with everything i bring to the table, have been accepted and also have gained a new perspective. If anything I’m thankful. Any relationship one builds involves being comfortable, and just being yourself. Even more it involves willingness and sacrifice. You’re willing to do anything for that person and making sacrifices at the same time. Yes that means knowing when you’re wrong and admitting it, ladies and gentlemen. Being yourself isnt always easy, but you get their eventually, especially because it’s easier to make friends being young and in school. You give and take.
