I haven't had a severe bi-polar mood swing in three weeks and I was wondering if I was starting to get better, even though the counselor told me it wouldn't. I've been managing it a bit better and on low days, I find ways to cheer myself up. Many of my friends and my parents have been commenting on how well I've been doing. Usually I have a severe mood swing every one or two weeks and I'm very very low for about a week. The lows get really bad sometimes and I tend to struggle a lot.
So, I was at a friend's house and talking to her about how I've been feeling better and how I've been doing great. This friend of mine is very religious and is always the one I go to when I need to talk about God or ask her a question. I've always struggled with finding Him and never really believed in Him one hundred percent. I pray and I go to church as often as I can and it's definately helping me. When I told her how I've been doing better, she blushed and smiled and said that her youth group has been praying for me every week.
I was in awe, because I've never had a prayer have such a huge impact on me. I've prayed about getting better too, and it's helped calm me down for a while, but not having a mood swing for so long is a huge deal for me. This has definately helped me in finding my faith in the Lord and I get the chills every time I think about it.
