Each of us probably has a favorite song and singer, a tune that waltzes with us through life and often helps us through emotional times...

I recall winning four tickets to see the Good Brothers. Tall gentlemen and they performed a series of tunes they had
written, one called: Against the wind. The words talked about
being older now and still running against the wind, against the
wind.

That particular song has inspired me to do things at a time I
thought I might not be able to. In other words, it was memorable,
catchy and somehow called attention to something else.  Each
of us probably has a song that once in a while pops up in our mind and allows us to recall a special moment, or think of
someone we might have been sweet on or just give us a reason
for taking a deep breath and wanting to make it through another
day. Songs can do that. Even music without words. A ballad
that we listen to time and time again. Remembering the words.
Quietly repeating the words. Mesmerized by the words. And
this is our song.

Some of the music has gone back a long ways. One singer drops
a song and another picks it up. How many of us have thought
back to a tearful moment listening to Celine Dion and her
memorable: My Heart Will Go On.  And there are hundreds
and thousands and perhaps millions of songs that have a personal meaning to a special individual. Yes, we say, this is
my song. As though it were written for me. And in retrospect,
perhaps it was, directly or indirectly.

What is your favorite song? Your answer would likely be,
oh many, too many. But ask yourself again: What is my
favorite song? And what does it remind you of? No doubt
memories are flashing before you as you play this tune in
your mind. And composers and songwriters are all no doubt
very pleased that his or her music have left that indelible mark
in the lives of the many people these compositions were written for....
