We all experience physical and emotional pain. Even financial
concerns often create what some say is a pain in the...you know
where. Some seem almost pain resistant whereas others react
to the smallest insult, the tiniest bruise. Thus the expression:
Some bruise easy.
Economic conditions are noted to reflect back on mental and
physical health. Much is built into a persons belief system that
in turn reflects back on the ability or inability to handle pain.
And then the abundance of pain killers, headache tablets, stomach medicine often may provide temporary relief but
users of such medicine become dependent. The term pill
junkie comes to mind.
At a time of losing someone we experience often times a moving
sort of pain, that travels the body to indefinite destinations. We just feel bad all over. Our heart hurts, our muscles cry out along
with the tears- much like rain, perhaps help in the actual relief.
I have personally found over the years that where possible, suffer it out, let that headache gradually diminish. I know that
seems difficult and it is, but reduces pill dependency. And pain
killers taken time and time again have got to be less and less
a help, but more a hindrance.
Consider the power of prayer, especially in cases of age and
serious illness. Definitely helps. For emotional issues. Definitely
helps. And prayer is useful to guide us where we need to be
guided. Our Shepard. Our Guide. Our shelter from the storm.
So decide for yourself how you intend to deal with pain. And once
you have come to the Good Lord for help, you'll likely come back again...
