One of the major components of my journey is the change of believing from 'doing' to 'being'. We all know that God's kingdom is based on opposite values to the world's system, but experiencing this takes time. Oh there I go again, introducing the concept of time. The worlds sytem is based on personal acheivement, and success for recognition, and identity. That's why thousands of kids in the UK think that being a 'celebrity' will bring them fame and fortune. My ideas of identity based on 'performance' had to be changed. Sometimes I liken my 'mis-belief's to limpets that stubbornly stick to the rocks. Can you remember as a child trying to dislodge them only to end up with a splattered mess on the sand? The point is they are stubborn, oh so stubborn! My mis-beliefs that is.
I had to allow Abba to change me. One thing I have learnt everything the Lord does in love is gentle, and persistent. But we can be assured of this He will get it done. To be in love, is better than anything else I can experience.
