Love is All You Need "You can't love anyone if you don't love yourself"

blog

Yes, the Beatles informed us almost 50 years ago. "All you need is Love, Love. . .  Love is all you need."

Centuries before the Beatles it was mentioned in the best book ever written. You may have heard of it, it's been around for ages,  if you can get your hands on it, go for it, it's a great read, it's The Bible. The Bible mentions the word love, loved, loves, 442 times.

I consider myself a happy and content person. I ponder what it is that makes me so content with life. Yes, I have days when the wind blows down my sail, but on a whole I like life most of the time. I think about my home, if I lost it,  I'd be very sad, but I'd bounce back, because I still have my love and together we can get through any storm. If I lost my job, well bills would get behind, I could somehow find another, but again I still have my love. So I guess the Beatles must have read that book, because they surely hit the nail on the head, love really is all you need.

1. Love yourself. I read a book years ago by Dr. Wayne Dyer, called Your Erroneous Zone, there was a line in that book that has stayed with me through the years, "You can't love anyone if you don't love yourself"

2. Love your faith your higher power is your most precious gift. It never leaves you, never hurts you, it's the only constant in your life.

3. Love your neighbor as yourself

Imagine what a wonderful world it would be if we all "Loved our neighbor as ourselves". Wow, think about that for the next five minutes, no really think about that. Mind blowing thought.

I may be able to speak the language of men and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell. I may have all the faith needed to move mountains - but if I have no love, I am nothing.
Corinthians 13:1-2

Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope and patience never fail.
Corinthians 13: 4-7

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Corinthians 13:13
