What was old is new again. This refers to music, fashion, cars,
furniture, homes...
Don't even think of letting anyone call you old. Even if someone
asks your age- reply: Now listen up - I'm perpetually 39 and
young at heart. There that ought to settle that argument, for a
while at least...
Thats it. Not old, just young at heart. Which reminds me of two
interesting license plates I noticed. One read: I STARTED WITH NOTHING AND STILL HAVE MOST OF IT.
Another license plate had: NOWHERE TO GO AND ALL
DAY TO GET THERE.
Yes,older people like to be light-hearted and most are.
striving not to sweat the small stuff. One old timer told me
he considers himself rich and the key to his small fortune
was starting with a big one.
Yes, thats it. Strive to be happy - even with the occassional
aches and pains. As Canadian Poet Leonard Cohen wrote:
I'm aching in places where I used to play...
Old age...its relative, think young and shall be. Continue, in
even a small way to be a part of things. Stay active. Make
a contribution, however small and you shall stay-
forever young.
