Just as the autumn leaves fall from the trees each of us shall leave someday...

blog
My carpenter friend Max, now enjoying his senior years once
made a comment when we worked together on a construction
project. Max would playfully say:'Who will cry for you when
your gone.' And then reply:' Nobody...'

It was all in jest -just as people do in the workplace...

And who will cry for us? Probably family and a few close
friends. Perhaps...

In this busy world we often forget (to quote from a Johnny Cash
tune...'Everyone  I know goes away someday...' And so we will.
And so we do.

Sure, the photographs remain. Maybe memories of something
we did or said or accomplished. But with time and space and the
distance from yesterday to tommoro - in a sense we are mostly
forgotten when we leave. Not always forgiven, but certainly
forgotten (to a large degree).

That is, until some magic moment comes along where there is
a conversation, he said, she said sort of thing. And our name
is mentioned, briefly...

So reflect if you will on these brief hours, days and years we
have and how important it is to live each day as though it were
the last. Because sometimes it is....
