Yes, Thanksgiving Season is almost here and Christmas to follow. But, we do all need to watch the spending. As major nations meet to
discuss the economy, there is no doubt of the delicacy of the situation.
John Morrissy writing from the Financial Post in Ottawa tells us...
'if sovereign states start to worry....its time for the rest of us to be worried...'
We all tire of the news of the faltering economy. But its helpful to look at some of the things we are considering purchasing and ask
ourselves - do we need this. Do we need that? And often we find
hidden money awaits, simply by making these decisions. As the
oldtimers would say, its not what you earn, its what you save.
Canada, being so closely tied to the U.S. in so many ways, the talk
up here is that if our southern neighbor happened to cough, we all
most certainly end up with the flu...
I am not by any means a financial guru and find even the economists
second guess what is happening and try to adjust accordingly. In the world of hockey and other sports - they say, regroup and keep on going...so thats what we all have got to do.
Eventually we shall all be whistling our way into the graveyard but
just as sure as we are alive and well - we need to keep our ear to the ground, stay abreast of changes that impact on our lives and just maybe as sure as the sun shall rise next day - it will all turn out ok.
