Yes, I guess we really do live in Cowboy Country. Something about that special
smell, the horses, and just the ambience of the rodeo. Whether you happen to
come from Calgary, Oklahoma, Texas, Montana, Saskatchewan and host of other known and not so well known places, you will be recognized - because you are in Cowboy Country. And these are tough gals and dudes. No messin with these folks. Serious business, the rodeo...The likes of Tuf Cooper out of Texas or barrel racer Lisa Lockhart from South Dakota. Bull riding, novice bareback,
and the clowns, I always enjoyed the clowns.

I tried bareback riding on a horse named Rusty many moons ago, but fell off as quick as I got on. And darn. Thats a long hard fall. And the ground don't feel so good when you fall that fast. But they fall, yes they do. And they get back up again. Thats what the business is all about. Finding your way back up.

Riding with the kids a few years back through the beautiful Slocan Valley in British Columbia...gave you a bit of a feel of being a cowboy. At least for a day.
But real true cowboys and cow-gals live the life. Its all about training. Preparation. Did I say training and preparation? Yes, that and more..
its about wanting to get your hands on some real rodeo bucks, whether in Houston or Las Vegas or at the Canadian Final Rodeo in Edmonton, Alberta -
this being the 36th year.   Check out the rodeo circuit by logging on to:

Better still, put on that black hat and cowboy boots, pack the kids in the car and get ready to experience what these wonderful, tough and classy cowboys do all year round. Because the cowboys make the rodeo. Yes they do.  Yeee...haw.....
