Its all too familiar, cut backs, reduced wages, business bankruptcy.....we pray this is not the beginning of another depression...

There seems to be a great deal of in-house style disagreements lately.
Certainly we do not want a return to the depression or Great Depression times, although some of the things happening appear to have that feeling of impending disaster...cut backs, layoffs, reduced wages...

People who consider prosperity as being one house, one car and a few household items are getting worried. Yet we are in a sense, in a boat,
on a cruise and suddenly finding ourselves in unknown water. Should we panic or stay the course?

I think we need to be very very very careful in our spending habits.
I think we need to keep abreast of the latest news and more particular stay informed as to what is happening in the business world.

Industrial workers and farmers were hard hit by the depression of 1929.  Back in those times many shanty-towns started to turn up,
folks living in tents and make-your-own-shelters. Some became drifters or stole what they felt they needed.

This is 2010 and still we need to reflect a great deal on what had taken place previously and what could happen again. We sometimes need to be prepared to have a little less, earn a little less, spend a little less and not expect a great deal, Its called survival. And how we move forward often depends on the small and careful steps we take.

On a plus side of things, there is a saying that when one door might close another is sure to open. Do not underestimate the power of prayer and the value of networking. Stay in touch with friends and relatives in these times of change.

And let us hope our leaders make the right decisions as we patiently wait for....that glimmer of sunshine....that glimmer of hope to a bright
future...
