For myself - who might be considered a fairly average person who can cross country ski in a fairly average range - I was quite awestruck to read an article in Sun Media by writer Thane Burnett, writing about a young mountain man
from Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada - by the name of Greg Hill, who
plans to climb and ski TWO MILLION VERTICLE FEET. Yes, thats the
Two Million Hill Dream which would take Greg from Chile to the Yukon to
Argentina, back to the Canadian Rockies.  Risky? No doubt. Possible?? Well,
he is already past the 1.7 million verticle feet but must complete 7000 feet a day
for the rest of the year to reach his goal by January 1, 2011.

And how many of us fail to even walk the dog when the weather gets cold?

If Greg Hill is able to accomplish this goal, according to Thane Burnett, its like:
-69 trips up and down Mount Everest
-200 or more Marathons
-6 visits to outer space
-1100 climbs up and ski down the CN Tower
-12,000 times up and down Niagara Falls
-Four stair climbs each day up the Empire State Bulding
every day for a year.

Now, think I shall put on my coat and walk the dog. Damn the cold weather!!
