Old Soul

~Its absolutely amazing ~  How anything~ as tiny as a ~*little Sparow*~ can survive~ out in this cold weather  ~
 I am sitting in my computer room  ~ which faces  the back yard~   which is all covered~  with snow ~as high as the back deck  ~It is -23 and with the wind chill of 9km/h it makes it fees like -31
 That is where~* the bird feeders*~ are located  ~ It is where ~i am watching the little birds ~  fluttering by every now and again ~and sit at the bird feeders~ getting thier fill of food~
 The brutal cold of winter doesnt seem to faze them at all~
 It makes me wonder~ how we all  manage the weather  ~ wearing a big warm winter jacket and winter boots ~as well as a touque or scarf and mittens  ~  And they simply have thier little feathers to keep them warm~  *S* And we still complain of the cold  ~Brr~ at least i do ~ *S*
 Let alone the  small amount of food that they take in compared to what we eat~
 I suppose everything is in proportion so to speak~
 However ~i did neglect to mention~ that we live in Alberta  Canada~ And this is our typical winter weather~
Its not only the birds  that seem to survive the cold~ but the squirrels as well  ~ although there are not as many as there used to be for some reason~Well i think i shall make a nice cup of tea ~ and in  while i will go and refill the feeders   for the birds  ~*After i bundle up*~
