Fossil fuel, carbon capture, the new direction...and we are hearing more and more about this industry. Just as our early
pioneers travelled about in search of gold,  gas and oil - our
new exploration team has the research and knowledge and know-how. And if it were not for the Oil and Gas industry we
would still be back in the times of Fred Flinstone.

There is a constant need to explore, seek the unknown. Go up
into outer space. Go down into Mother earth. Explore, extract.

Maybe its the very uncertainty that drives us forward. No doubt
with CCS (Carbon capture and storage) guidelines will need
to be established - especially when exploration involves the
geologic formations below ground. So this is the area where
science goes above the head of the average Joe. We are hearing
terms like quantify, identify, ratify. So naturally, some uncertainty lingers in the back of our mind.

But, just as your doctor warns you that a given medicine is provided because the benefits outweigh the risk - likewise
with the science and technology that exists in the oil and gas
industry. Sure there are risks, but its probable the net benefit
outweighs the negative side.

We are simply going to have to give the oil and gas industry the
benefit of the doubt. And we have every reason to believe -
they will not let us down.
