War seems to bring out the very worst in people. It is written that
in Auschwitz thousands of people died, some were led naked into
gas chambers, other starved, some from forced labour, others from
lack of disease control - and then there were the horrific and unspeakable medical experiments with human beings....

Eva Olsson is a surviver. Although from 1944 for about fifty years
she would not talk about Auschwitz, until her young granddaughter asked that she might speak to an elementary class.

Thus began the long journey and many speaking engagements to churches, schools, even the United Nations. Speaking out against hatred and bigotry and intolerance. Speaking out against the many horrible things she encountered, eating watery soup with
human remains floating on top, watching relatives being led away to the final resting place. Most of us would want to forget....

Just remember that name (Eva) and offer a prayer that such things do not happen again (ever).

There are some lives that find the hand of God ... beckons them
forward....gives them strength....amidst the most shocking and
difficult times of their lives....
