ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOUNTAINS

Life can be like a mountain. You climb and climb and climb. Only
to find more mountains.
The reward is not always at the top. The reward is the journey itself and we often forget that. How often we start the climb only
to find we have forgotten something or we simply need to start again. And so we do just that. We start again.
And we notice how the mountain does not change. But we do,
with every new step. We change. And hopefully for the better.
You see, the mountain is our life, the journey up the mountain
might represent the passing years or passing days. Moments of
discovery. Moments when we need to think. Yes to think. To reflect. And to remember.
How many of us have made that first trip to the rockies as children
totally fascinated but without a thought to the dangers of even
being there. We were just too caught up in the moment. And thats
the way youth is. Caught up in the moment.
We get older and the journey gets more difficult. Each step is
not only a new challenge but painful at times. Just as the mountain
changes its mood with the seasons and the weather, it is much the same with our lives. The highs and lows. The hills and the valley.
And the promise of a rainbow....
Journey on....
