FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF

I seem to recall Mom giving me a little pep talk years ago. I was just a little guy coming home from school with some other kids (that I thought were my friends) but for one reason or other they made me feel bad. Until Mom reminded me, that sticks and stones may break your bones but names will never hurt you....and that still speaks volumes today.
Someone said this or that. We are embarrased about how we look one day or even about some of the clothing we are wearing. Just something doesn't feel right and we are embarrassed. But fear not. Time does heal everything after all and when we grow up (if we do) all those figments of the imagination that bothered us in our youth have vanished like the morning butterfly. Here today and gone tomorro...like a fire that has gone out, a wind that has lost its energy, or like that friend, or at least who we thought might be a friend making us feel small and insignificant. But wait, we are never insignificant in Gods eyes. The Good Lord created each of us much the same. Two eyes, two legs, two arms (for most of us) and really we are all very similar. Rich man. poor man. A place and space for each of us in this lonely planet.
Yup, just the way we are...freckles and all....
