Ok. Why not! Lets invite President Barrack Obama and his family to Alberta,the place where, as the commercial tells us...you can breathe...especially the fresh and wonderful rockies. I even think the President and his family would enjoy places like Drumheller, the badlands and of course Cold Lake, Slave Lake, Pigeon Lake, naturally Sylvan Lake and the Red Deer region, the Calgary to Lake Louise drive. Just about anywhere. Why not invite the President to small whistle stops like Tiger Lily, Egremont,Thorhild, Ryley, the border city Lloydminister. And of course, bring along Mr. Biden...heck why not even his competition Romney and family. They could leave behind some American Dollars and it would be a real photo op for all of us Albertans. Forget the photo with a cardboard cut out, this would be the real thing... As for a chance of this visit happening? Ahh, probably remote...but as Oprah would say...you gotta keep dreamin and think big...and ya ya, Oprah could come as well, do a production of the entire visit. Look kids, there is President Obama standing out in the cold near Mariana Lake, heading for Ft. McMurray. Now look there goes the Obama family on a ski trip up to Skoki through the woods, up the mountain. I mean,c'mon, Royalty stayed there. The Queen enjoyed her stay in Jasper National Park. Years ago Marilyn Monroe was in Alberta for a movie. But of course there is a chance that President Barrack Obama will find this blog and start to consider this journey to the great white north and more particular, to Alberta. I just know it. Or at least hope.... And by the way Barrack, drive over with the family to our place. We can offer a cup of tea and my wife could cook up something special. It would be a real special visit...even with a contingent of security vehicles parked on the street. I just can't wait...! So here it is President Obama, from one blog writer to a famous and wonderful President...an invitation to visit Alberta...its an open invitation for spring, summer, winter or autumn...
