In order to help others we must first become comfortable with ourselves. We believe we find the comfort in ourselves from helping others, but sometimes life gets more complicated than that. Blog posts in this section are all about how we can adjust our lives, our mental attitudes, our routines, on a personal level, so that we can achieve greater levels of personal satisfaction and thus increase our ability to spread positivity.
Just wanted to see how this will look.

I will write to express my views. I will appreciate and look forward to feed back. This is my first post.
Can I make a difference? The devil's number one tool is "desception". Why would he want to decieve those who are already in his fold? His goal is to win more into his fold - members of the body of Christ and those who are at least contemplating joining the Body of Christ. Lie after lie, he destroys men whose faith is less that sincere. Those who think they have all the right answers, those who "look out for number one", those who think they can solve the problems of the world "their way", those who have no compassion for others - to name a few catagories - are those who are being decieved by the devil. Communities begin with the family. Families make up various social groups (the church being among these social groups) that make up the traditional local communities. Local communities make up towns, cities, states, countries, continents, and finally, the world. The condition of the world is the product of continents, continents are the products of countries, countries are the products of states, states are the products of cities and towns, cities and towns are the products of the traditional local communities, local communities are the product of the various social groups, and finally these social groups are the products of families. So how we govern our lives determines the condition of the world. What can one person do to improve the condition of the world? More than we may think. One individual (as I am) can do what I am doing right now. If I can make one statement that will turn one person from making one small mistake, then I have sowed a seed that will grow (if properly nurished). And if this could spread from person to person, and more seed can be sown, and if this process could continue, then I realize that I can change the world. By the same process, if one parent teaches one child to do what is good, this parent would begin to build a good family. This family would begin to change a social group (the church for example), and again, if properly nurished, a local community could be changed for the better, and the the trend would continue. Children Gone Wild (Everybody's Fault) What is wrong with our children? Why are so many out of control? Why are so many dropping out of school? the answer is quite simple, but the problem CANNOT and WILL NOT be solved. Society has "gone to hell in a hat basket". Who is to blame? a. Parents Each generation has contributed to the distruction of our children (myself included). We all want our children to have better than what we had. This has resulted in children being given more "things", more "freedom", more "rights" and more "power." Children become parents who have been led away from the proper roll that a child is supposed to play within the family. Each generation (about 20 years) more lienient parents produce children who grow up and become even more lienient parents. And the trend goes on. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOULS. b. The Education System At school the "paddle" has become a thing of the past (my past) and is against the law. --- Use the paddle on my child and I will sue you. When the concept of "positive re-enforcement" was established is when we lost our children. This concept is to reward a child when he or she does something "good" and withhold discipline when they do something wrong (misbehave). This was developed to "improve" a child's "self-esteem". This is "intelligent people's" idea of improving our children. So why are our children getting worse? So much for "intelligents". This is a good example of how "man" thinks he has All the Right Answers (see above). As long as man thinks he has the ability to solve the problems (of any kind), the problems will only get worse. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOULS. c. The Government at all levels What has happened to "the basics"? I'll tell you what has happened to the basics - the basics get too close to God's way of governing our lives. But when man thinks he has all the right answers and thinks he can solve all the problems of the world (that he himself has created), when special intrest groups bribe politicians, when parents "spoil" their children, when the education system deviates from teaching and moves toward THEIR OWN "BRIGHT IDEAS", on how to generate better children, when people in power do whatever it takes to satisfiy their own selfish agendas, society continues to go south. The momentum (rate) of the fall of mankind continues to increase. Laws are passed to control many or just a few. Laws are passed to enforce laws. Laws are passed to enhance laws that have not yielded the intended results. Laws are passed that control the passing of laws. Laws are passed because man has deviated from what is true and holy. The mind-set of man makes it impossible for any improvements to the lives of all to come to pass. This is "politically incorrect" be it must be said - If man does not return to God's ways, man will distroy himself. The distruction of mankind is inevedable. It's in the Book. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOULS. d. The Church (Body of Christ) To maintain a life that is as trouble free as we can make it demands that we conform to the ways of the world. Look out!! Here we go - - going - - going - - gone. The members of the Body of Christ has chosen to maintain a trouble free life by conforming to the ways of the world. Man has passed laws that prevent parents from raising their children God's way. Can we turn things around, can we save our children, will our children save their children? The answer is "NO". To reverse the trend would never work. Man has wondered too far from the ways of God. To change now would be suicide for mankind. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOULS.

DEAR BRYAN -- "I'm beginning to realize that all my life I've felt pain whenever I've wanted to be close to somebody. Either I'd be afraid, or sad. As I'm learning about love -- especially how to love and nurture myself! -- in your classes, it's becoming clear that love doesn't have to hurt! But I'm still a long way from being able to love freely, with no fear. Why does something so good and beautiful feel so complicated -- yes and even scary?"

Darfur is Dying is a role playing game.
You can find it at www.darfurisdying.com
"Darfur is Dying" game is a great example of how games can teach. The game is kind of tragic because even though it's a cartoon, you face the reality of what people actually endure every day. You have to move fast and be a quick thinker. //
The game looks "fun" even though the subject matter is grim. Navigation is pretty simple to follow. You enter the game as a child or a young adult that has to forge for water and face down a jeep full of thugs that you have to hide from or be killed. The graphics are done very well in a 2-d vector animation style.//
Background:
The Sudanese government and it's gorilla malitia, Janjeweed are raping and murdering thousands of people--women and children. //
You also can link to sites that have information about the tragety. Amnesty International is one of them. There are many articles about the violence against women in Darfur, and how their culture stigmatizes rape victims instead of supporting them. //
Here's where I get kind of upset because why are the Darfur men demonizing their wives and daughters who have been raped and beaten by the Janjaweed? Why aren't the Darfur men protecting their women? For most folks in the free world this is a no-brainer. An oppressed society that oppresses and subjugates its women will not advance.//

A dear friend of mine is struggling to free herself of her lifetime of worry and fear. Originating in a severely abusive family, her fear has robbed her of inner peace and self-confidence and tragically limited her ability to love and be loved. Fear is a mortal wound that slowly drains our life without our recognizing that we are dying.
